Laptop Ram Slot 2 Not Working

My issue was that my brand new gigabyte trx40 aorus master mother board was not recognising the ram is specific slots. I try put there 2 different ddr3 (original samsung and kingston).

Laptop ram slot 2 not working. I again changed the ram and put it in another slot. Both of them working fine in the first slot. I want to connect an egpu using wifi card's pcie slot:

Slot 2 seemed to be the problem.used flat piece of plastic like the guitar pick.it worked gigitty.was confused on whether the slot is bad, the ram stick, or both??.reason for confusion there is that i tried the slot 2 ram in the 1 slot with slot 2 empty and no boot but slot 1 ram in 1 slot with slot 2 empty did work.now with both in and. My prevision 5510 runs on 8gb ram in 2 slots (total 16gb, ddr4 in 2133mhz). When i have ram plugged into slot1, the same thing happens.

The shop told me that the 2666mhz ram can run in 2133mhz when i make the purchase. So one slot will contain 2gb and another slot will be contain 4gb will there be any problem on system due to the different memory size. But not working in the second one.

If you are facing a lot of resistance, stop. Upon trying to insert the new ram, however, we noticed that one side of it would not go all the way in. First slot separate working fine!

Please ask me, i will provide more information. I have lenovo z560 4gb ram two slot i means 2 gb + 2 gb. It's not the ram socket that has the problem, because i had the same problem again.

In fact, if any piece of ram is placed into slot 2, the computer is unable to establish a connection with the monitor. At first i thought it was the ram upgrade, but that proved not to be the case due to the fact that the 2nd stick of ram works just fine in slot 1, and the original ram that came with the pc does not work if placed in slot 2. I think i am not the first to have this problem and the new ryzen have a big memory compability problem.

Does hp 630 has a sim slot reader. Ram should not be difficult to snap into the socket. My laptop has 2 ram slots, slot1 and slot2.

Check the number of slots next to the slot used. After installing the ram, i turned the pc on, but the laptop came up with a black screen, before shutting down. Swapped ram to different slots and found one slot was not recognising ram.

Remove your old ram and work with your new ram for slot 1 and slot 2 (buy the same new ram) and check whether the system is work or not. Some things to remember when installing laptop ram:

If it’s 2 of 2, it means you have 2 ram slots or if it’s 2 of 4, it means your laptop has 4 ram slots.
